Day 18 - BHB
Friday, 14 February 2014
Woke up to a beautiful day. Had to go down the beach, and it was so perfect I even went for a swim. How can the water here be warmer than Victoria? HH was still in bed when I got back. After a lovely cooked breakfast I convinced HH to stay another day.
Our immediate neighbours John and Ira have been camping all over for years, had a lovely map on the inside of the camper door with all the tracks they have explored. They have a bit more comfort these day with a large solid slide on sitting on a Hilux dual axle conversion. I saw Ira sitting on the rocks later painting. Quite talented, www.iramorgan.com.
It is so easy to while away the day when the views are good and weather perfect. HH Cast his rod out at snagged a squid straight away. Short lived excitement as nothing else happened, but it was a very tasty appetizer for dinner.
The little cafe had a band playing but we had been so tardy in getting organized for dinner that by the time we got there it was packing up. Never mind, still people around enjoying their drinks.
