Day 94 - New Year
Tuesday, 7 January 2014
Boxing Day M woke up with a sore throat, then the cough started. I kept my distance, determined not succumb.
The first group of The kids friends had gone home, peace and quiet for a while. Decided to hit the pub in Bemm River for New Year, but when the time came M not well enough and we party pooped (not at all unhappy as I hate late nights). The kids returned after 3:30am and it was a very quiet New Year's Day for them.
The days rolled on, lots of variation. During the heat wave Ben out our gazebo in the Patrol and drove it down to Py-yoot Beach. Only 500m away, but too far to carry anything heavy, especially on a hot day. We spent the day/s very grateful for the shade, sea breeze and cold ocean. Lots of people down there (caravaners and campers from Bemm River). One day forgot I had been face painted by a 4 year old!!!!
The hammock was always a fought over spot, but it seemed to cope with to big kids and 2 small ones.
A drive to Mallacoota was very enjoyable. Whet a boater/fisherman's paradise. Good bakery as well.
