Day 46 - Bruny Cruise to Cloudy Bay
Friday, 14 March 2014
Into Adventure Bay to see if HH can find himself a seat on the boat trip, something he has been wanting to do since we got to Tas. Hoping it won't be too rough as his back is playing up. One of the last seats and off he went. No way was I going to risk being tossed about on the ocean.
I entertained myself for an hour or so at the Museum. This is the place Cook first landed in Tas. So much history. Quick lunch, updated blog and lots of foraging around the blackberry bushes. Before I knew it 3hrs had gone and HH was back.
Off to Cloudy Bay. As we went up and over the centre spine of Bruny South, through the mist, then coming down all the clouds cleared and it was sunny blue skies. The camp site at the far end of cloudy Bay can only be reached at low tide, and it was just starting to come in. No worries though, sand really firm.
Camping area all to ourselves, what a lovely change after the previous 2 nights. A lovely stroll on the beach and back for sundowners. Lots of birds, robins with red and white breasts, must look it up. Solar panels out, this place has my tick of approval.
