Day 59 - Macquarie Heads - Hamilton

Not sunny today, oh well, I did make the most of while it lasted. Had to have another chat to Alex, wanted to know exactly where he was headed off to today. So obliging, got the map out and had all the time in the world to share. Just a short kayak today across to the other side, then a 4 day walk down the coast.
Later I saw him pulling the kayak down to the beach, I tried to help drag a bit, but doubt it was that much of a help. We took a few photos and waved our farewells.
HH 'adventure' of driving around the heads on to ocean beach were fairly short lived after a few kilometres when we discovered the tide was still too high. Phew! We didn't have to back track far to a turn off that brought us back to Strahan.
Aired up the tires and we are back to Hobart, via Queenstown for a pie of course.
